I don't know if these pics are showing, and out of the 3 I had on my phone already one wouldn't load - came up with an error.

Welcome Craig
You have hit the ground running with your first cane rod. Sorry to contradict AshbyCut but I have several LRH 1's that both me and my son have used for carp and yes, despite occasionally bending beneath the reel seat, they will handle lively fish. My best on on was 36lbs. But the forgiving nature of the top section means it's a rod that would not be out of place on a barbel river. Most carpers tend to go for the LRH 2 whilst the 3 is a beast of a rod and best left to great white sharks.
I cannot give you the definitive age of the rod but doubtless on of the sagely members will help you in due course.

Here are some pics of the tackle and lures I have been given.
The intrepid reel I have already stripped down, cleaned up and regreased.
If only hooks to nylon were still at these prices!
Most of the packets are full with only one or two hooks that have rusted, the rest are fine.
I would like to use the hardy sprat lures and see if I can a nice perch on them this winter.

Posting a picture of your rod is quite easy. Just select "Full Editor & Preview" and than the black square with the green dot.
Ouh, that one I didn't know yet!!
A hearty welcome to the TFF family Craig, Sir
Edit: Now having seen the pictures the second page I must have to say I am quite jealous. You must be a happy man
