It can be relaxing - if you are nowhere near a bunch of "deaf" carpers!

Turned down so they are just audible and not blaring away allows you to do exactly as PH above states - watching nature.

Sundridge Optonics. From - Hi & Lo with wires to Optonic Super XL to Bamford conversions to Dellareed or Delkim ones.

Conversions still available from a few with high prices!

Original "twitcher" wheels - £30 for 5!! £150 for 3 Bamford conversions!!
Slightly mis-leading.

Delareed manufactured and marketed them to start with. Then Efgeeco took the marketing on. Sundridge took Efgeeco over and by this time there were (Les) Bamford (Redmire bailiff) and (Del Romang) Delkim conversions all over the place as well as lots of copies of the Bamford and Delkim conversions. These conversions were stopped after a court battle.

Les converted my standard Compacts for me in 1982 after I saw them at a carp show. At the time I had never seen a converted one anywhere so I presume this is when he started to do those. Delkim came along after.

And squeezy bottle tops maybe
Just a bit too modern for my liking.... :Hahaha:

I don't really see them as traditional, they were cutting edge technology in the very late 70's.

I still have my Hi-Lo Efgeeco Optonics... both are in working order and both get an occasional run out... both have the 4 blade wheel conversion with the twin blade wheels still inside the heads... they get a few strange looks on the bank but who cares :Hat:
