I use a Norfolk tweed jacket, green mole skin trousers, brown checked shirt, green wellingtons and a hat to suit the day. I get some funny looks but don't care a jot. Mind you I give the chaps a funny look who are just about to embark to Afgan.

When I'm fishing with my modern gear I wear my fishing clothes including hoodies, branded caps and such. I tend to still wear my fishing clothes for shopping trips and the like.

For traditional fishing I wear, well, normal clothes :chuckle:

That bridge was like a time portal SK.

The lands and lake on the other side of it bore no semblance to modern day England.
I felt out of place fishing with fibreglass :) .

We could do with a few more bridges like that then.

My old wax jacket has just about on its last legs. I can't really repair the underarm seams any more. Apologies to all for my scruffy appearance this Saturday on the Itchen. Just ordered one of these as a replacement.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/BRANDED-DERBY-T ... rvi_cart_1

Seems like a good price, when the Musto alternative is £499.

I like the facts that it is windproof, waterproof, breathable ......most of all, machine washable.

Don't worry MGs I set the tone in my very scruffy, dilapidated Barbour jacket last time. I've seen the jacket you are getting on Amazon but have resisted so I'll be interested to read a review if you don't mind. Then I might even buy one as well.

Nah, the Catalogue Model Pose is "gazing into the far distance, with one hand shading the eyes".
