Ooh...an address for Lindop. You just never know when these questions will get answered! I confess to being a bit of a hook packer hoarder myself. I love those Milbro gut ones...they are very early indeed! Might even be from the Forties!

I had never considered their age so it's great to hear a possible date for the Milbro gut ones .
It is complete with 12 hooks in 4 packets of 3 each . The hooks look very basic and I'm not sure but they look like they are whipped onto the gut and then glued.

This hook packet circa 1900 is encapsulated under a 2” glass dome and wrapped in oak making a 5” paperweight.
