Well done Tel, that’s a belter. Just a tad envious as I haven’t ventured out since the latest lockdown. There is nowhere ‘local’ I fancy fishing. I am tempted adjust my interpretation of local soon!

A lovely winter fish

Thanks fellas it was a bit of a fluke being only my second cast! And with only a very short trip planned.
But it was my intended species and the bait was in the right place at the right time!.
Trotting a whole sardine under a bung in about 7ft of water with a single fully barbless treble hook using an elastic stopper on the bait prong to stop it coming off.

The river conditions,work schedule and obviously covid have kept me away from the bank for some time now hopefully this is just the boost I need to finish off the season with a couple more trips
