I remember the Orvis Batenkill's very well, many years ago they started appearing in an auction and I bought about 10 of them, a couple to fish and the rest for trades. They were very cheap, after a couple of auctions there were none and I asked the auctioneer if that was the end and he told me it was 100% the end. Looks like the original source had been the "back door" of the factory.
