This is a place I would like to fish. Am I right in thinking that you can only fish from a boat? What other species are there? Is tench on the menu ?
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

Fishing is from punts, quality tench to be had. I think a group spring tench visit could be a good idea?
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Plenty of big tench also serious pike, perch and bream. No carp.
See http://www.blenheimpalace.com/theestate ... llery.html

Fishing is from boats which they say can accommodate 3 anglers but I think more than 2 would be difficult.
Fishing from the shore is for people who live in the village (local fishing for local people! :hahaha: )

It is quite pricey at £25 per boat after 1 Nov but from 16 June it is £28 to £38.50 per boat depending on number of anglers.

I would be up for a Feb trip after the pike or perch or a summer tenching trip which I haven't tried before.

Don't think you are allowed to eat the tench Loop
There is no peace on earth like the peace of fishing in the early mornings

Blimey Mark I didn't notice that, it doesn't make sense does it? .... I meant to say Jim "Gibbinson Eclipse". It was dragged in by a fish unknown!
