A great write up Robbi,

The small Carp and Tincas remind me of my Epping Forest Pond fish.

A very pleasant pond with some lovely little fish :Thumb:

Looks like a smashing day despite the initial impromptu paddle Rob.
I wish I could stop looking at that centrepin reel and thinking after filling that float wallet, a nice centrepin could top my most wanted/needed list. You've a lot to answer for! :)

Thanks guys, i enjoyed the day.......

but..........

i have been reliably informed by my fishing companion that seeing me hop around on one foot trying to take off wet boxer shorts is NOT a good way to start a days fishing...... :Hide: :Chuckle:

Lovely little fish, Robbi. I'm quite happy catching stuff like that all day too. I caught a perch last year that must have been no bigger than 1 1/4 inches. Cute as anything.

I cannot make out what reel you are fishing with, but perhaps a caged pin or a pin with a line guard might be easier to learn with and help prevent tangles?

I too took a dip last season. I stood on a wooden sleeper which rotated forwards a full 360 degrees and deposited me into the lake up to my waist. Worst part was I scared off the carp I was following. :Cursing:

That's a shame. When do you get into tangles? If it is on the cast you could try casting a different way. I finds the easiest way is to pull loops of line off.
