Thanks, I did notice that the thread on my Barder handle does not accept off the shelf net frames, I have just visited a local blacksmith who is able to make a three point folding net frame. I did initially discuss using a 8 ml brass frame, however he felt that this metal would probably bend to easily.
He also makes some very good rod rests in a simple design. I know quite a few people like cane rests, but I would like a pair based on the stick and half cup design, which was popular in the early part of the last century.
