Thats it exactly Beechmere. For me it was also peace of mind as global tracking was included in the duty.

I think mine is the 33! I'll start a new thread with details when I post the pic!

Yes, that's a baitcaster reel....you brake the line with your thumb on the black button and that iamge is indeed of a right-hand wind model as most are.

Yes my Zebco is the Spinner Model 33! Do you have any suggestions as to what rod to use with it? I fancy giving it the odd chuck for perch this summer!
Oh, and apologies for going off original topic!
Have I put the back case on the wrong way! ?

Hmm, I'd better say nothing as I don't know that particular reel, but I did think that rear button looked upside down.

Re: Zebco Cardinals
I've put it back the right way, like in the ebay pic. It does however work both ways!

Re: Zebco Cardinals
I have a little Zebco 44 Classic like this one and I love it
I use it for ultralight spinning with my Hardy 6' (glas) spinning rod
the whole combo weighs under 6 1/2 oz
the reel is used hanging and you hold and release the line
by pulling (or letting go) the lever with the index finger
(great for kids also)

Re: Zebco Cardinals
Very nice design there! When I see old reels I cannot help but wonder at why modern reel designers appear to ignore these classic looks and instead make reels that all look the same!

a baitcaster rod would be perfect, like the old ABU Caster rodsSantiago wrote:Yes my Zebco is the Spinner Model 33! Do you have any suggestions as to what rod to use with it?
there are several rods using this kind of reel holder and handle, this is a norvegian Vangen
