This coat really is as good as I thought it would be. So much so that I have now got myself the bodywarmer to go with it http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bodywarmer-Wais ... d_sim_ap_2

I am off deadbaiting for pike in the morning and will be accoutred accordingly. So far I have found that the bodywarmer over my old army pullover is so warm that I have not needed to don the coat.

Just the job for winter fishing and it goes with a cane rod like bread goes with butter.

i have the shooting jacket and a body warmer / gillet from Hoggs of Fife, wonderful things, worn together they are VERY toasty indeed, much too hot to walk far in but lovely sitting still on a frosty morning.

I agree, these coats are so warm that I rarely wear a jumper under it

Gents, Can you help with sizes please. In the size guide they say a large is a 40 inch chest
and a XL is a 42 inch chest. I am a 42-43 inch chest, anyone bought one of a similar size ? Thanks.

I am 5'11" with a 46" chest and I purchased an 2XL which is just right. Obviously you do not want a tight fit in such a garment but it is always something of a risk when getting an item of clothing which you haven't tried on.
