That's a very astute acquisition Mal, what provenance! It will no doubt be a joy to use and even more lovely to look at.....you'll probably miss a lot of bites!!

Is that one of the all split cane versions of the B James Avocets?, and are these rods rarer than the whole cane butt versions? I believe they were the last models made in this series.
