I was always under the impression that it was the top of Fishers Green but this looks like it is just downstream of the bridge, halfway down the Members stretch at Kings Weir. I was a bailiff there in the nineties but it was after I left (and the crays moved in) that the chub piled on the size. There are still big fish there but I understand there was a fish kill that took the real monsters of the time.

Neil is an extreme, single-minded hunter of big fish and has no qualms going after ‘known’ specimens. Not my cup of tea - I have fished with him in the past, have seen his determination, and listened to many tales since. I haven’t heard what he is up to lately, but he has caught fish beyond the wildest dreams of most anglers. That is a massive chub!
