Loverley fish Moley!

Watching the TV showing the 1963 freeze-up this week I was remembering the numbers of fish deaths in all of the Metropolitan Water Board reservoirs - 1,000 upon 1,000s of dead specimen fish - 10lb bream, 2-3lb roach and 3-4lb perch mainly!

What a fine fish.

Is that a Greys Bewick ( often referred to as Grey's Berwick) that I see in the picture ?

It is a Bewick a very nice reel. Light line and big stick suits it. A well built little reel and pleasure to use.

As an aside more thankyous for the kind comments. But really the fish should take plaudits, bristling with energy and colour and health. There is an even bigger one in the same swim......seen but not captured.....yet!!!!!

As ever,.......
