My friend, Bill Quinlan, did indeed spend a moment or two in the bar at this event, as the attached picture from Bob Buteux's camera will attest.

From left to right: Bill Quinlan, Doug Wood, Ken Bingham, Len Head, Kevin Clifford and Fred Wilton.

If you'd like to see more, I'll see if they can be found.

Hi Len,

Long time no see, hopefully you are keeping well. I for one would love to see more pictures from that very special day.

Hello Shaun and Mike,

Before popping-off to bed here's just one more picture from that very special event.

It shows the late Harry Grief, famous especially for his Dagenham carp exploits, (who so very nearly eclipsed Albert Buckley's Mapperley caught record) and Mike Wilson himself!

Besties,

Simply superb with Harry obviously still listening to what others have to say. A mark of a true great. Looks like he was happy to move with the times with a pint of lager in his hand rather than a stout or bitter

One thing I'm sure Mike or Len will know, who was it that put the video of the day together?

Hello Mark,

Sorry, didn't notice your initial post last evening.

Yes, Shaun, 'tis a long time, and am quite well but the old body won't allow what was once taken for granted. Thankfully, however, I remain on the green side of the grass!

Thanks, Mike, for your kind comments; much appreciated.

This picture from that great day shows Fred J. Taylor and Chris Yates judging the photo competition; looking on is the late Marc Ridgeway on the left, and Bob James.

More soon.

Besties,

Len,

You say Dagemham Carp exploits, would that be the lake at the Ford's factory?
