What a few days to remember, great fishery, great company and all topped off by my dear friend Jon Berry's capture of that 46, it couldn't have happened to a lovelier bloke than Jon I am chuffed to bits for him.

Terry, Nigel, Bob, David and John thank you for the banter - sorry again for leaving the fruitcake at home on the garage bench!

Skeff - Ashmead was as glorious as ever, the place is a credit to you thank you once again.

Apart from Jon's truly amazing capture I had two non fishing highlights watching a hare in the top field and seeing my first ever Crane which stood still for so long I began to think it was a decoy. In the words of Arnie- I'll be back!

I have recently acquired a Chris Yates Landing Net built by Edward Barder for Jon Berry in 2006 being described as a Carp net but from this photograph I can see why he decided to part with it - clearly to purchase a somewhat larger net.
