I thought he arrived (bearing the rod and uttering the immortal phrase) at Mr Ball's house after catching a twenty pounder from Forked Pond on 15th September 1982, after two unsuccessful previous attempts to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of Walker's record.

Did anybody look into Sywell Reservoir?? Home of the double figure Tinca??

Well worth a visit, although the Wigwams could need an airing. :wink:

Sywell reservoir sounds interesting. 45 miles from me.
Should we have it in the places we plan to visit forum?

I think so Snape, although the list will be ever increasing and we may not ba able to visit them all, Sywel is well dooable and should be visited as it has a fairly central location and offers something a bit special. Perhaps somebody can dig up some history about the place?

I can see a lot of my holiday time next year going to group trips. :chuckle:
