OOPS!!!

The Post Office have changed everything yet again...they do this so ruddy often I don't bother trying to memorise their prices and sizes anymore...life's too short!

On 1.4.14 ( oh what an appropriate date) Small Parcel Second Class went up from 2.60 to £2.80

No problem, it's pennies......

However, I am now aware that the narrow-drum arbours were accepted as Large Letter First Class. I had a sack of mail to post and have only now worked my way through the pile of receipts ( I said don't get behind me in the queue :Hahaha: )
Large Letter FirstClass is 93p......

So I have over-charged 4 people for the postage.

Refunds of £1.67 issued all round and please accept my apologies, Craycane, RichardC, SeanM and Chevin.

I need a lie down now...thank God PayPal is so easy.....

That answers that then, I did wonder why I had had a refund :Hahaha: But there is no need for an apology Nobby I was happy to pay the price and thankyou for your honesty :Hat: .

It arrived this morning and is already fitted to my speedia. What can I say, an excellent addition to the reel, a very good pin has just got much better.

Many thanks to Matt for the idea and genorosity of supplying :Hat:

many thanks to Nobby for being the distributor :Hat:

There's really no need to apologize Nobby or the refund for that matter but many thanks anyway. Looks like I'll be able to afford half a pint of Harveys tonight after all. :huray:

No Loop, but I'll be about most of the day...I'm going up the day before for a spot of fishing and staying over nearby.
I don't imagine I'll be heading South again before Midday at the earliest.

I've got other arbours to deliver and a few reels too so I will be there.

Oh, happy day! :dance2: :huray: :dance3: :dancing:
Here's my wide-drum, and the frilly thing next to it shows what line did to two layers of modellers cork sheet.

I don't know which "mark" this reel is, but it needed all the sacrificeable lip sanding off for a snug fit. No problem. What a clever idea that lip is; if drum widths vary as much as spindle diameters (no two spools seem interchangeable) it will prove invaluable.
It looks wonderful; I won't be able to fish until Thursday (massive piano exams day at ours on Wednesday :Scared:) but then I'll try to contact something that makes me wind in under tension - if it happens, I'll report back!

Massive thanks to both Nobby and Matt, you've rehabilitated a lovely old reel! :Thumb:

Here's the snap-fastening, peeping coyly through one of the holes:

All I need now is a carp. Or something... :fishing2:
