Good Moaning TFF

I took 'Opochtli' out for another good thrashing last Saturday. Back to a stretch on the Wye, the banks were rather dodgie after the rain from a week previous. Judging by the silt/mud left on the banks and flotsam and jetsam in the tree branches it must have been a impressive sight as where I was perched would have been under water.

A recent arrival of a 7' two piece landing net pole came in very handy indeed. The net head is large at 30" and I needed every last bit to reach out into the river.

Great photos and fish. I do like the grip on the reel with the rod in the “reverse” position had to look at that twice to figure out what you’d done :Hat:

Been a while since Opochtli had a day out. Thought it was time to give the old twig a airing, even with a very full river the rod handles the flow fine. Couple of barbel, chub on and a very large eel.
