man enough?

Post by Thommo »

Hi, just wondered if a speedia is man enough for margin carping using 12/15 lb mono and 2oz leads no more than a rod length out? They can run to low thirty pound but i was concerned that if i managed to fluke a take the wide drum would be up to the job without the pins buckling or some other damage could occur, would appreciate any advice

Couldn't find a carp picture from this last year with it so a barbel instead - after all, they do fight much harder.

It will be fine, they are very tough little reels.
