Mordex Black Seal rod
The one I've just bought from on ebay has just turned up.
The cane is in very good condition and is as straight as a die, the ferrules however are all cracked and sliding off.
Does anybody know where I may be able to get replacements from and how would I go about measuring the bore. Is there a tool you can buy quite cheaply to do this?
Thanks in advance Gentlemen.

They are sized on the inside diameter of the female ferrules. Buy one of these to measure it:

Thanks Sean, I've just bought some callipers from ebay. I decided to go and have a look after writing the first post and found some straight away this time....curious as when I looked earlier nothing came up.
Thanks for setting me straight on how to measure them though.

I agree callipers are an excellent bit of kit, wouldn't be without mine.
Replacement ferrules will depend a bit on budget - cheap

Good quality but more pricey

Right, Hopkins and holloway it is then. I only paid £9.99 for the rod, so can't afford those nickel ones. Many thanks MGs.

They come as very bright chrome. The ones I bought, I used fine sandpaper on to get back to brass, then used brass black on themKingfisher wrote:Right, Hopkins and holloway it is then. I only paid £9.99 for the rod, so can't afford those nickel ones. Many thanks MGs.

I'm in need of an over sized tip ring for that one but I have to measure the bore first I think it's about 5mm. I just don't like the tulip tip ring it has on it now.
