I always enjoyed these, whilst not 'traditional' as such, these two characters had a lovely way of poking fun at convention and it was a special time in my life when they were appearing as a TV series shown here in the UK. I tried and failed to get the DVD sent over but...

...have discovered that most of them are now uploaded on YouTube (the second is very funny as they fish at Bibury and then Altnaharra).

Great couple of series. The first series was shown on BBC 2 many years back. The second series didn't seem to come here. I have both on VHS (I had the second series sent over from Australia - luckily they have the same PAL system as us). I too have tried to get both series on DVD without success.

The two presenters were on the Late Show

DVDs are available direct from ABC for about £25 including postage to UK

These are "fishing" programs you can watch with SWMBO - really gentle travel programs with fish.

Update: I should point out that they are Region 4 - so you need a clever DVD player or Windows PC

Fantastic, reminds me of an enjoyable fly fishing trip on Vancouver Island, although we "hiked" with a Winnebago, camp fires every evening and fish for supper or steak from the on board freezer if we had a bad day, which of course we didn't. Wonderful memories.......

Lovely video, I once was lucky enough to explore an Aussie trout stream very similar to the one in the film, brought back vivid memories.

I was totally unaware of these. Watched most now and found them very enjoyable. Terrific locations and typical Aussie wit.

I finally managed to replace my ageing VHS versions of series one and two with some shiny new DVDs from Amazon, for just over £20. Money well spent, now a happy bunny
