Hi FF,
1939 Super Bottom Tackle - There is no mention of any HJS rod or reel, only the plugs. Also same for later and earlier SBTs
1937 Full guide - No HJS rod or reel,
1951 Full giude - rod, reel and line drier mentioned.
I don't have any guides 1938-1951 so perhaps someone else might be able to fill in the gaps.
