Sowerbutts "The Lightning" 14ft
Need,s a set of intermediat ring,s and A ferrule glued.
It was just about to be thrown on the back of a transit to go to the tip. A quick chat with the driver and the rod was mine.. FOC.

It would have been rude not to,well done that man
Would the whippings have been black/white originally although some look black/gold or perhaps just yellowed with age?

Harry The original colour of the whipping is Black/Silver twist
Here,s the original whipping from the rod above showing both the varnished side and the underside..

I live in hope that I will save such a rod from destruction and provide it with a new home but so far I have had no such luck. I still live in hope though. Well done.
