I have just acquired with a job lot of vintage tackle a Martin James split cane fly rod I think. The name on the rod is Leam.
It appears to be very old and is in need of some work to bring it back. The ferrule plug is jammed in so no idea how to get that out without damaging it.
Any information on this rod would be much appreciated.

Look at the eyes could it be a spinning rod or maybe a boat rod?
