The name Efgeego rings a bell? I used it when when wading and trotting on the Trent, before I bought a Shakespeare bait apron.
It fell over once, and I'll never forget the feeling of those chub bumping into the legs of my waders, as they mopped up the spilled maggots!
We never took less than a gallon of maggots each after that, and it paid off.

Bought from a little village shop in France in the early 70's, I was told that it was a "must have" !
But I wouldn't trust it when barbel fishing with a treasured rod.

They still use the "rod rest" in France - in fact I have seen then frequently!

Banksy, Efgeeco did indeed do one, but not the one you've highlighted. The left hand holder is the same or similar to yours, but no trade name is present ( so I suppose you still couldn't discount Efgeeco, I was told it was Pegley Davis, who knows). The Efgeeco holder is on the right. The Efgeeco has a different mechanism, a spring is situated between the two holders which one screws down into, to hold the bait containers.
