I have just had a look at the pre-owned section and there are some great rods on offer (if you had the money mind). They are however all either unused or only used on one or two occasions, despite being ten or twenty years since they were built.

What I don't understand is how they are purchased and then not used, they're fishing rods for goodness sake!

Easy ----- God forbid I break a rod - even a c****n or glass one let alone my cane ones! Some cane ones are my 'treasures' and see the bank once or twice every couple of years! And none are in Barder or Davis league!

Davejass, a better investment than most pensions and the like, although some
people like just owning works of art, and Barder, Davis rods are works of of art.
They are the Picassos, Rembrandt..... of the Bamboo rod world.
