It's a rainbow

Minding my own business fishing for perch last week I saw a boil on the surface midriver. The commotion came closer and a bleak or something leapt for its life. Another big boil about five metres out. Then the silver fish skips on, right to the edge of the bank, pursued surely by some monster perch. I mean pike just don't chase prey fish like that.
I was getting very excited by now and wondering exactly how I could put a bait in front of this fish. But then it broke surface, unable to stay swimming in the 2 or 3 inch shallows it had foraged into. And there it was, four or five pounds of rainbow trout......
