Hello,
My name is Mark and I'm based in Lancashire. I mostly fish rivers, but I'm a bit of an all-rounder.
Although I've been fishing for forty-five years, I recently bought a cane rod (A Taylor and Johnson Rapier 12ft Specimen Rod) and a couple of centrepins - a Specialist Tackle Aerial-style reel and a Dave Swallow trotting centrepin reel.
I caught my first Barbel using my new 'old' gear last week on the River Severn. Wow! What an experience that was.
I look forward to learning more about traditional fishing equipment and techniques on this forum.
Tight lines.
Mark
