Just acquired this Bernard Sealey & Co. "R. Sealey's Tudor Lightweight" ... an 2 piece, all split cane fly rod.
Delighted in more than one way ... a) thanks to the friends who made sure I'd seen it ... and left the field clear. b) This is the first split cane trout rod I've seen badged for Bernard Sealey and Co. ... the others I have with this badge are fibre glass (though I do have an 11ft "R. Sealey's Salmon"). The split cane fly rods (7 up to now, including a 7ft. and 9ft. "Tudor Lightweight") have all been Precision Rods badged. c) This brings my collection of rods from this maker to 70 !
Not sure of the length yet ... as the listing didn't state it, and I didn't want to show my hand by asking !!!
((For the information of members who may not be aware ... Precision Rods was the trading name of Bernard Sealey and Co. from starting to trade just after WW2 ... but was dropped in around 1964-66 when they simply used the Bernard Sealey & Co. name until they stopped trading in 1984.))
