HI everybody... I have been having a search around, and found what at first seems quite a rare rod, it is an Ogden Smith "Warrior". It has a very clear and spotless Ogden Smith logo on the butt section . also, and which I did find interesting is that there is a full history of the rod from its only owner, when new to now.
What attracted me to it is that it is a 3 piece , eleven feet double built split cane rod with locking ferrules, very pokey, and ideal as a floodwater rod, it needs a rebuild, but is useable as is, it should have two tips, but one is missing.
Before anybody says, no, it isn't a Salmon Fly rod, it looks like a long spinning rod, the handle is the same, or at least similar to other two piece Warrior spinning rods.
I cannot find one identical anywhere on the "net" so I was wondering if anybody has any knowledge of this rod, and its value as is.
I can probably get it for less than £80.00 and am sorely tempted .
Cheers

I have a Ogden Smith Warrior fly rod which is a two section with two tips. I thought Warrior was the name of the rod but it must relate to a range.

Could well be, as I am not familiar with Salmon fishing in general, I dont know, but it is certainly a very well built and strong rod, more than capable of handling floodwater Barbel I would say.
