Newbie
Hi all
I am new to this so please forgive me
My name is Ryan. I'm 28 years old and from Melton Mowbray (pork pie town). I'm a very keen angler that like to fish natural venues and fish for all species. My favourite being the tench. In Melton we have a river called the river eye and it's a small tributary from the river soar which itself comes from the mighty Trent. Correct me if in wrong.
I fish the eye as being local to me and had some decent perch, Chub and roach but there's only a certain amount of stretch you can fish unless you have a boat as you can't get near the bank. So I have been looking further and come to the river soar. The bit I found is Cossington weir and where the canal joins near osiers villa.
Does anyone have a information on what species are in the soar and good spots to fish more importantly who has the fishing rights.
And info is much appreciated.
Tight lines
Ryan

A hearty welcome to the TFF Ryan
