I have just pre-ordered the Angling Times new John Wilson book. This sounds very interesting.

looks like a lovely book

My copy was delivered today and after having a quick flick through it looks very interesting. I shall read it over the weekend. It is more a 132 page quality magazine rather than a book.

Interesting that the cover describes John as our "greatest - ever angler". I am not sure about that, but then I am not sure who is our greatest ever angler......

I think they would say the statement is supported by the poll they did?

I think that you are right Tengisgol. I was not aware of the poll, but then not all anglers read the AT. For example, I stopped ordering a copy in about 1970 - it was black and white in those days......

Unless I am mistaken this was the top 5 in the Angling Times "Greatest Ever Angler" poll.

2. Noel Edmunds
3. Diane Abbott
4/5. The Chuckle Bros.

Is the book full of new material written up before John passed.
Or is it just a rewrite of the old publications ?
