The Ideal?

Evening All,
I've picked up a couple of Fosters of Ashbourne rods recently. One is definitely an Ideal...makers name, etc, the other one of the same length, similar through action and design doesn't have any maker's markings, but is a heavier and more substantial beast (although it's definitely a Fosters as the name is stamped on the cap). Does anyone know if the Ideal was made in different TC's?
A bit of re-whipping, emery cloth, varnish and cleaning (and straightening set on one - first time I've had a go at this, and successful in using the woodburner to heat the cane) and both now users.
Regards Cat

Hi, You may well be right.but I have seen this assumption of manufacture before. Named but caps are easy to change or maybe a genuine reason for has been made.Transfer or script under varnish is much more reassuring !
