A refurbished Dorset

My xmas holiday project was an FT Williams Dorset rod bought from the last Redditch fair.
I debated if I needed another but they are such good rods and encouraged by my companion on the day, Mr Bob Brookes, I handed over the cash and I became its new custodian.
We sat in the coffee bar with Wal and discussed its renovation. On the way home I thought that as my other Dorset had high bells rings, I would put bridge rings on this one so I had dedicated float and ledger rods for barbel, chub, and tench fishing.
I also decided that I wouldn't follow the FTW style of whipping as its not to my taste and I would dispense with the green alloy reel bands butt cap and winding check.
I also decided to replace the handle as some of the corks where the reel sits were looking a little dubious. I replaced the plain butt cap with a threaded one which will accept one of Wal's handle extensions.
So here it is, a Dorset with a difference!

Very nice Jeremy, I do think that Burgundy whipping on pale cane looks very classy indeed .

I have a MkIV that will be having a rebuild when I can get around to it, using the same colour scheme.
