If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

IT did but I can't find the Greenheart one at the moment. It's in the 'store' somewhere awaiting some original rings.Fredline wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 5:41 pmDoes your rod have the 2 tops?Catfish.017 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 4:49 pm That's the one I have, awarded to T.H.Goodwin for the capture of a 15lb Carp August 1934.

Nice find John, I wonder how much shorter the leger tip is and would yours be a ten foot rod if it had the cane tip.

The greenheart top on mine is about six inches shorter than the cane but of course it could have lost a bit over the years. In the photo it looks about three inches shorter at a guess.Wallys-Cast wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 7:17 pm Nice find John, I wonder how much shorter the leger tip is and would yours be a ten foot rod if it had the cane tip.
