Just made this from a squirrels tail, peacock feathers and the eyes from very short sections of a large porcupine quill . It's 6" long. This is my first ever attempt at making a fly. I've no idea if it'll catch but it was fun making it.
The forward copper is fine copper wire as extra weight at the head for sink and draw action. For the keel I used UV setting resin, not a great idea on such a cloudy day.
I'm calling the pattern 'Nutty Squirrel'.
