Marco 10' 6" Test plus extra tip

I has just found a 10'6" Marco Test Ser No 0766, which has with it an extra tip 23" long, which would give me a rod of about 8'11",
could anyone shed any light ? thanks

The Marco test came with two tips. One for float fishing and one for legering. Sounds like one of them might be a bit short.

thanks, I did think the top eye on the short tip looked quite large, but all the whipping looks to match, I did wonder if it was for carp or pike

Thanks, some of the whipping has become loose so it will need a tidy before use
