Quiet Delkim!

Post by Ian.R.McDonald »

One of my Delkim Optonics has stopped sounding. Light on and some clicking but no note.

Have swapped battery

Any ideas?

Although electrical kit lasting 50 years in wet conditions can't be argued with!

Sounds like the buzzer unit has given up the ghost. Sometimes a bit of a blow out can get them working again but a replacement piezo buzzer shouldn't be too hard to source.

Thanks guys! Have doused it with GT85 and Mr Romangs remote hand has reached out and its sounding again!

But a service for both in the winter sounds a good idea

I always thought the noise was to let you know it wasn’t working properly. :Chuckle:

Still got my Delkims from 1984. Working fine still but I tend to use my new Fox ones. They are only 20 years old!
