Hi Gudgeon Basher,Nice place Rochford,I had an early morning at Doggetts a couple of weeks ago.Four nice Tench and a few Roach.I dont know if you fish there,Cliff is doing a great job of looking after the fishery.I started fishing there years ago when it was a tip,rubbish everywhere,a real eyesore.Not now though,a lovely place to wet a line.
Doggetts once held the Essex carp record in the seventies,I think it was about 36lb caught by one Derek Ritchie.

Have a look at Stambridge... some nice fish there... not the usual Carp puddle... plenty of Roach Perch Skimmers and the odd Crucian... nice cafe too
