Hello everyone!
Just a quick hello from me, started fishing at 5 with my dad, 32 years ago now. Sadly he is no longer with us, and whilst 'doing up' his old handmade wagglers that I now have and cherish (as well as dusting down his Abu 501s), I stumbled across this forum. I am a fan of the smaller items of vintage tackle more than rods etc, and I'm a sucker for old floats and cases/tins/boxes. I do love learning and using old or forgotten techniques too (often to a more successful degree than more modern approaches)!
Love all species, crucians, tench, roach, perch... well I'm just naming fish now aren't I. My most memorable angling achievement is catching a 1lb 15oz roach from three of Manchesters canals. Not broke that 2lb barrier. So near but so far.
Looking forward to being useful where I can and, more likely, learning a lot along the way from you guys!
