Just watched part the programme starting with the river Dove in Dovedale. The Warden, National Trust & NNR, explaining the virtues of weir removal after many years that were installed to create pools for trout. A few pictures of an angler fly fishing and a few underwater shots of trout.
It looked very inviting!
'The weir removal helped the flow and reduced the silt in the river which allowed more fish to breed and to survive' stated the Warden
Whereupon a shoal of fish was shown - - stupid BBC - - as the shoal was of - - mackerel!!!!!
When oh when will they get the correct fish - animal - tree or flower!!
