I couldn't find any trace of this having been posted previously. It popped up on my Youtube page, probably because I search for fishing related items.

An interesting look at life on an East Anglian river in the not too distant past. Strange to thin, that this way of life came to an end so recently.

I have watched this several times over the years and am always enthralled by it.There is also a book "Memoirs of a Fen Tiger" by Ernie James.A wonderful read of Fenland life in the fifties and sixties.
The Lamb and Flag in Welney is still there although its been modernised a tad.The large cased Pike is still on the wall, the weight,if I remember rightly was 37lb and would have been a British record if weighed correctly.

Wildflower, who posted it on YouTube, put it down as being from 1975.
Lovely films Wildflower has put up on YouTube.
