Rimfly's for the cane
Hello Everyone
After a few years break from fly fishing I suddenly felt the urge to rekindle my interest again. So I'm in the process of refurbing a pair of cane fly rods, both are 2 piece - 9ft long.
To go with them a pair of recently purchased Intrepid Rimfly fly reels.
The rods are as follows J.B. Walker (Newcastle) top and a C.W. Bird of Studley rod (bottom)
The Rimfly's are a Lightweight and a Regular.
Thanks for reading

Nice. How well do the reels balance out the rods?

Thank you Penninelad. That's good to know. I've just got to figure out what weight fly line to use.Penninelad wrote: ↑Mon Nov 08, 2021 9:26 am Rimflys are perfect for cane fly rods.I use them or Young's fly reel for all my game fishing.

Tony, those are beautiful rods and reels. It's been a few days now and I was wondering if you found the correct weight line and if you have fished with the rods yet?
