DAM reels with asbestos drag discs

Good Afternoon All,

Hope everyone is well.

I wondered if anyone knew if any of the older model DAM reels contain any asbestos material please? I am thinking specifically the 110, 220, 330, 440 and the Finessa really.

I hadn't realised until today it had been used in some of the models later on from those, which specify on the front on the spool that they do have asbestos discs.

I've just had a look around on a German forum. As far as I could find out, DAM used those asbestos drag discs only on their Quick 1000 - 5000 and Quick 220P - 550P series. I stand to be corrected, of course.

To be honest I was only sure of use of the material on some older Penn reels, the DAMs I was unaware of.
