Reel Time by Christopher Yates.
Just been perusing the thelittleegretpress website and noticed in the upcoming titles section, a new book coming soon by Christopher Yates entitled " Reel time volume one". Has anybody got any information on it. regards, Pondlife.

Re: Reel Time by Christopher Yates.
People have been collating all of Chris’s articles from various publications - going back to the late 60’s - and they are going to be published together.
So it’s not a new book as such, but it will be a comprehensive collection of all his early work - much of which has survived only
because people have hung on to old magazines and cuttings.
Should be very good.
Best Kev

Sounds great. The list of 'wanted' books grows ever longer !
It's not just about the fish, if waters are calm or rough, even if the net stays dry, just being there's enough.

Excellent. Seems like ages ago since his last book.

Re: Reel Time by Christopher Yates.
This is really positive news. I also have carefully collected many of the CY pieces he penned for the excellent Angling magazine and one of these, The Prospect of Dawn, is this reader's favourite. CY mentions in one of his books, that he re-wrote the text of this particular one several times, so that it was as he wished. Some modern angling writers could learn from adopting that habit! ...thinks; will the collection include his earliest article, documenting Wensum roach to over two pounds...? Hopefully so...

Ordered a copy of this book. I hope it lives up to my expectations. I’m sure it will. I have all of CY’s books so far.

The book has just arrived. The printing is superb and the photographs even more so. The bits I have read as I scanned through it are excellent.
Well worth the money and will give me hours of reading pleasure.
