I've long been a fan of the river Thames and have collected many books about it, Oxford and Oxfordshire but it was only a chance remark from John Essex that put me onto this very special book that was published last year. It's well-researched and written, and crammed full of facts and figures. Fishing on the Thames is a vast subject but this book makes a very good stab at covering it and I thoroughly recommend it.

The angling exploits involving old father Thames ingrains it firmly into our angling history. Its a river that had a particular spell on me for many years. I'll definitely take a look at this book thanks DaceAce :Hat:
