Kind words on a wonderful chub from the Test.

The reason for the delight on my fizzog is that it was over six pounds and fully witnessed etc.

The day got even better when about an hour later a two pound roach dropped by. It was truly a red letter day for Fatty.

Now that is a red letter day indeed Moley! How many can say they've achieved two such specimens in one sitting?

Talking of sittings, I wonder if you indulge in the occasional steak (with or without kidney) suet pudding? AKA a "babies head" in these parts, best served with mushy peas and gravy, perhaps with chips also if really hungry :Sun:

Ah yes the ubiquitous 'babies 'ead.'

Steak and kidney pud is one of the great wonders of gastronomic delights that of course heavily indulged in by Fatty....hence the rotund shape.

Was it K rations that gave us lads the self heating in the tin version, laughingly described as stew and dumplings. Amazing what you will eat when starving with this Escoffier like delight proving to be a rite of passage, in more ways than one!

Didn't mind the shocking day-glo pink angel's delight type dessert though. It looked intimidating wobbling on a plate though.....it did this all by itself!
