Books about roach

I was watching Marks excellent vid about books on roach fishing recently. I have the ‘Faddist’ book but I have now acquired ‘Fine Angling for Coarse Fish’, edited by Eric Parker for the Lonsdale Library, published in 1930. The first seven chapters in the book are devoted to roach fishing and they are written by Edward Ensom (Faddist) so I will be intrigued to see if there is much difference in content between the two publications…..

Never mind reading more roach books Tim, maybe you should think about writing one, after all, you've had your share and a few more on top :eyebrow:

Faddist says that Fishing For Roach is derived from Fine Angling for Coarse Fish and Angling for Roach plus various articles so there is substantial overlap.

Here's a poor picture of Faddist from Angling magazine October - December 1937

Well done Mark, it’s the first pic of Faddist that I have seen. And thank you Dave, for your suggestion, but I am not in the same league as these guys…..

To me it seemed a straight "lift" from the pages not worth the bother to acquire both !!!
