Something for Hovis

Post by Iasgair »

I was able to finally get speculum feathers to once again tie your country's lovely Butcher. These feathers are softer than duck quill, so it took a little practice to get them presentable. Please excuse the bad lighting on the photo. It doesn't give the wings justice.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Butcher.

Lovely. Simple, clean and no doubt effective. This ladies and gents is one of my favorite patterns. Fantastic wing shape. I like the big (ish) head too.
I have laid aside business, and gone a'fishing.

I would have liked ton have gone smaller with the head, but no larger than it is now.

I'm glad you like it.

That’s a lovely fly iasgair. I like the white tip to the wing and that will add a good target for the troot to see as the light fades👍.
Don’t cast doubt,cast out.
